EFFECTIVE DATE. --This chapter became effective January 1, 2009, except Code Section 10-1-795 became effective May 14, 2008.
EDITOR'S NOTES. --Ga. L. 2008, p. 746, § 1, effective January 1, 2009, repealed the Code sections formerly codified at this article and enacted the current article. The former article consisted of §§ 10-1-780 through 10-1-794 and was based on Code 1981, §§ 10-1-780 through 10-1-794, enacted by Ga. L. 1990, p. 1013, § 1; Ga. L. 1991, p. 94, § 10; Ga. L. 2000, p. 1589, § 3; Ga. L. 1996, p. 6, § 10; Ga. L. 1991, p. 604, § 1.
